Your support has meant so very much to me.
Chairing my 3rd and final LymeAid was simply a blast Sunday May 17th 2015 and was enormously impactful accelerating solutions for Lyme Disease. After an elegant seated dinner, Huey Lewis and the News, who donating their performance, "rocked the house." As the exclusive 400 quests energetically crowded around the stage dancing wildly to the "Power of Love” (which best described the feeling of the evening ). They were also, informed, engaged and inspired by renown scientists, physicians and heads of top Universities, leading the way with new discoveries in this new frontier of Lyme Disease. LymeAid was honored by the presencs of the Dean of Stanford University School of Medicine and President and CEO of Stanford Hospital as well as a few dozen leading scientists from around the country along with Philanthropist and Celebrities, such as Jane Seymour.
As a Co-Founder of the Bay Area Lyme Foundation it has been my honor to have created and chaired “LymeAid" these last three years and it has been Laird and my pleasure to have hosted at our home. I am so grateful LymeAid has made such an impact on Lyme disease, collectively raising over 1.5 million.
Nearly losing my life to Lyme Disease in 2011, I persist in accelerating a cure for my family members whose lives have been derailed and the millions who remain debilitated without a medical path to wellness. The Bay Area Lyme Foundation raised $600.000 at LymeAid 2015,
( 100% went directly to BAL research programs ). BAL's mission is to make Lyme disease easy to diagnose and simple to cure. It is a testament of commitment and scope of the severity of the problem, given the number of people who traveled from all over the country to be part of the Lyme solution at LymeAid in Silicon Valley.
Going forward, I will be focusing my sole efforts towards accelerating a cure for Lyme Disease. My daughters are presently on Lyme treatment. Lyme has stolen their youth, I will not stand by, while it steels their young adulthood too and possibly passed on to their children.
Accelerating a cure for Lyme Disease
With Love and Gratitude
For the moment, I’m feeling somewhat liberated from Lyme disease, after finishing a 6 month relapse Lyme treatment in April. Aside from some remaining facial, hand and feet paralysis, I’m feeling 80% better. I made the finals at a National Cutting Horse Show Competitions in Oklahoma, (the Breeders Invitational), on the day before LymeAid. This big win brings me closer to being inducted into the “Hall of Fame” with nearly $500.000 in show earnings.
