Sherry Wolfenbarger Cagan

Sherry Wolfenbarger Cagan is internationally renowned for her sculptural works that capture the inspiration, romance and nobility of the horse. She is also a World Champion Equestrian and has had a lifetime passion for horses. Knowing her subject exceptionally well has enabled this self-taught artist to translate her equestrian achievements into a universally recognized artistic style. Her unusual talent to create in bronze an illusion of motion while portraying the spirit of various equine-sports and figures has brought her work to the attention of art collector’s worldwide.  

The fine detail of Sherry’s work brings the faces and figures of her pieces to life as they touch your heart. The likeness to her subjects makes them feel alive. She has received critical acclaim for her life-size Monuments as her work has been featured in a number of art magazines. The artist’s works are viewed at Stanford University, Portola Valley Town Center, in private and corporate collections around the world, including many notable celebrities.

The historical nature of Bronze Sculpture and memorializing soul stirring moments in time is what moves Sherry to sculpt. She also loves riding, singing, photography and gardening. Sherry is a country girl at heart. She enjoys her animals with her family, husband Laird and daughters, Kyla and Kiana at their home in Portola Valley, California.  

Sherry’s home sculpture garden has been a viewing pleasure for many, as she and her husband host many public charitable events.
